ADULT BUTTON QUAIL FEED FOR ALL ADULTS AND BREEDING PAIRS
Available is a 1 Pound Box of custom feed blend specifically made for Button Quail chicks. It is ground fresh in my grain mill here at my home. It consists of high protein Gamebird starter Krumbles, high quality finch seed, (No sunflower seed husks), High quality whole oyster shell and a high fat & protein mix filled with required micronutrients. No artificial colors or ingredients. The end result is a very well blended diet for the chicks. High protein, high calcium and higher fat than is provided in standard crumble.
This diet and special ingredient combination allows the chicks to fatten up and grow quickly while the oyster shell provides higher calcium intake to build a heathly bone & skeleton structure. The ingredients including the higher fat intake also enable a rapid, beautiful and shiny feather development.
This blend is all ground to a consistency that is able to be eaten by the newly hatched chicks from the moment of hatching and should be fed to them for six weeks. Normal Crumble is just too large for the smallest of quail, 'Buttons' to eat and digest properly. Begin incorporating you adult feed into the 'chick feed' at 5 weeks to get them used to their permanent diet.
Button Quail have a much smaller and somewhat different digestive system and tract than that of the larger quail varieties or other poultry. This feed promotes rapid and healthy growth. Once mature at 6-8 weeks they should be fed a normal diet incorporated into the 'chick feed' gradually. At that time they are adults and due to the high fat/protein content of my 'chick feed' they are ready for a regular 24% to 30% turkey or chicken crumble with the addition of treats and calcium supplements for the laying hens. If you are wanting to breed your hens there is an 'Egg Booster Crumble', 24% protein that should be given them along with plenty of fresh water on hand at all times.
ORDER this feed in time for the hatching of your Button Quail. They will be eating it INSTANTLY upon being placed into your brooder!
