Love it or loath it the the much talked about Smoking Ban is here. On the1st of July 2007 the smokefree law was introduced making it now against the law to smoke in virtually all 'enclosed' and 'substantially enclosed' public places and workplaces. This includes public transport and works' vehicles that are to be used by more than one person.
Managers of smokefree premises, vehicles and venues now have the added legal responsibility to prevent people from smoking in areas that they control. They must also ensure the legally required signage is displayed.
