This is beautiful Telescoping Magnifier from the General Tools USA, professional line of Technical Inspection Instruments. Produced in a very limited quanity for the areo-space industry, you will not see this instrument in stores or catalogues. The tool is absolutely beautiful and manufactured by a small industrial optics firm in France. Closed, this tool measures 6" long, but will extend up to 26". The acrylic crystal lens at the end, (the same material as in a pair of glasses) measures 2.75" by 1.75" with a 1.5"dia. magnifier. When you want to see up close in a confined space, or read a name plate at a distance, this is the instrument to use.
