This digital manual covers the complete rebuild of a Bridgeport J-Head Series I Step Pulley Vertical Milling Machine. It includes helpful hints, tuning procedures, safety information and even hard to find information about the order of dis-assembly and re-assembly. I recently added a few sections to the manual that cover my CNC conversion for this mill as well. These sections include the reasoning behind my decisions to go specific directions, the parts I chose, the vendors I used, and even some rough prices. I started writing this manual mostly as a reminder to myself in case I ever needed to work on this type of mill again, but so many people have found it useful that it is once again being offered for sale. I also want to thank all of the people in the Bridgeport forums that have had so many nice things to say about this manual. It was a labor of love, and I enjoy sharing it with the masses.
This manual does not take the place of the Bridgeport Service/Owners Manuals but compliments them by providing high quality color images and practical procedures.
