We've been in the HVAC Business for over 25 years. Over that length of time we have worked for various landlords and have owned rental property of our own. We know the problems of rental units.
Many times the landlord pays the utility bill and includes it in the rent. Unfortunately, some rentors don't try to conserve heat and tinker with the thermostat. They'll turn it way up and leave only to return to an overheated home and have to raise the windows upon returning. This costs money.
This little thermostat is so small and simple, it can easily be concealed. It has a fixed rating of 70 degrees which is plenty warm for any household.
