This is a Whitaker Brothers DATASTROYER 101-CD Media destroyer.
It was "excessed by a "major organization".
It is tested in excellent working condition and very good/excellent cosmetic condition.
It is a NSA/CSS and DoD approved device for Optical Media Destruction for ALL types of CDs, and is approved for the destruction of Classified Matter.
The Datastroyer 101-CD is rated at a destruction rate of 300 pieces per hour by NSA, and with its variable cycle speed located at the back of the unit, can destruct up to 600 pieces an hour.
Weighing less than 20 pounds, with dimensions of 6.5"H x 12.5"L x 11.5"D, it is a very compact, light weight machine which can fit easily on any desk or tabletop.
Processing one disc at a time, it mechanically strips the media off a CD or DVD, yet it retains the inner hub of the CD that contains the serial number of the disk. You now have backup proof that the information slated for destruction was in fact destroyed. The result is a clear plastic disk with no media on it at all.
It has a small vacuum inside which collects the media particles in a standard type U vacuum bag-available at any vacuum place, or even your local improvement or discount store. The manufacturer recommends changing the bag evey 50 disks:

This machine costs the government about $2500, and us individuals and small companies even more. If you have sensitive information on optical CD or DVD media that needs to be absolutely destroyed, then this is what you need.
