You can have your very own CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Router in your shop, or start a variety of small businesses right in your own home with this CNC Router. Similar to those used in cabinet or sign making shops. If you can draw it, this powerhouse can machine it. Plastics, wood, composites, and much more. Cabinet parts, pocketing, circles, any shape, 3D, contouring, it does it all. Work area is over 61" wide by 100" long up to 3.5" high parts can easily be machined to any shape, repeatedly. That is over 8' x 5', you can load a whole sheet to process. All of your programs are stored for quick, easy access in the future. No more "Where is that template?", tired of making templates? Templates are a thing of the past, this router can make them for other shops. Shown is a picture of a simple program to make crab measuring gauges and another of a custom wedding gift for friends or family. Just look at the detail, the accuracy and repeatability are incredible! The beauty of this dream machine is you can cut a whole sheet of parts while drinking a cup of coffee, try that on a bandsaw or hand router! It runs on two circuts of 120v. One to power the included 3.25 HP Porter Cable router, on for the CNC Router controls and Computer. It comes with a DELL laptop with Windows XP and the necessary CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software to run your programs. This CNC Control system uses a 230 move, first in, first out buffer in the controller to eliminate the problems associated with other types of controls like the PC based parallel port controller. The software can accept a DXF, JPEG, STL, BMP, plus others, and converts them into the G-code necessary to run your parts. In a short time, you will be writing your own G-Code (Computerized Numerical Control language) programs, which are easily edited in Windows notepad. You may have seen the microscopic versions of this type of machine offered, they are toys! Make no mistake, this is a rugged machine which takes up to a 1/2" bit for machining, or a 1 1/4" face cutting bit (included) to machine the MDF bed for calibration. Depending on the bit size, machining speeds of over 120 IPM conservatively, with positioning speeds of over 900 IPM (inches per minute) are attained. This machine is still in like new condition, but I need space for three more similar machines I am building. This machine made the included custom dust hood for improved removal of large amounts of material, shown in the last picture. Yes, this machine can make parts for itself!
