Motorola R1225 GR1225 uhf solar powered repeater

This is a slightly used Motorola R1225 / GR1225 10 watt 438-474 MHz 16 channel repeater that can be used on both the older wideband or newer narrowband frequencies.
It is a completely stand-alone self-contained battery / solar and/or 12 VDC powered UHF repeater system.

I have made about ten of these and it is a well proven modular design that has given me zero problems and is very easy to customise or expand.
In my applications I use a 12 or 20 watt foldable military solar panel and a 5 DB gain mobile gain antenna on a base mount. The mast consists of TEN 1 foot pieces of aluminum tubing{small tent poles). This keeps the antenna mast and accessory bag a very compact size (for the hike up the hill).
Of course, I also have some 35' military mast kits to use on flat ground.
I use my repeater every other month or so and 99% of the time it will make it thru a short weekend on its internal batteries alone. Other times I toss in a solar panel and I also have an auxilary 25 amp battery in another Pelican case that plugs into the repeater... just in case.
There are a million things you can add . Heck, I even have a Pyramid VHF vehicular repeater / extender just in case I need to cross connect to an existing VHF system at an event.
Just email me and I will give you a call back to discuss your particular needs.
Also feel free to check my other items for other radios and accessories.
I can also assemble this (for an additional charge) with a Standard NMO antenna with a copper ground plane so you can either use it with a standard mobile antenna screwed to the top, or plug in the coax and use an external antenna.
