Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) also known as TIG welding is a highly precise welding process able to produce high quality, stronger welds on difficult or thin metals and is superior to techniques such as Arc welding or MIG welding. The weld is produced by a high-temperature non-consumable tip made of tungsten, using inert gas to shield the weld against oxidation and a filler rod.
The new Zenith 200A TIG welder is both lightweight and powerful. Using high frequency semi-conductor technology, rather than traditional inefficient transformers, the welder is compact and portable, and provides high efficiency and low stand-by power consumption.
