Ice cream truck & snow balls (be your own boss)
Full or part time money maker. Work a few evenings a week or just week-ends. Put that lazy teenager to work or lease the truck out and sit back and make money. I designed and converted this truck over the winter. Started making money as soon as spring came. I even make money with it sitting in the yard from the neigborhood kids. Now, I'm getting transferred at my job and must relocate. This is my bad luck and your good news. Truck is a 1995 and runs good, has 152,000 miles. This spring I put new brakes all around (and turned rotors and replaced one) then replaced upper and lower ball joints. Truck has A/C and is automatic. Plenty of head height unless your a giant. Truck was a handicap van. New everything this spring
Work a route, church functions, parks and ball fields, carnivals and festivals. I even have a large event already scheduled for this area june the 4,5,6. You can have that fuction that should easily bring $2,000. Limited vendor slots and I landed one.
As you can see from the pictures a lot of time and labor went into this project. It works even better than I thought. I have about 4-6 cents in a snow cone and they retail for 1.25-2.00. I have less than 10% in most of what I sell on the truck leaving an excellent profit margin. Some ice cream products only have about 65%. I also sell cotton candy ( that machine does NOT come with this deal).
Have a question? Just ask. I am prepared to lose some money but I will not give this truck away. When I first started this idea I travelled and looked at several trucks for sale. Pieces of junk with worn out equipment at ridiculous prices. So, I bought a van and stripped it out and designed it my way. All that I sell is considered non hazardous foods. Therefore, I need no health permit or inspection. Same in most states. I live in Timmonsville, S.C. just west of Florence. Easy access from I-95 or I-20.
