These laser diodes were developed for high-speed DVD recording applications and give a good quality output.
In continuous drive mode we see the laser emission start at 60-75mA and reach around 100mW at 200mA . See photo 2 below for pulse drive data up to 240mW.

Laser diodes behave as 'non-linear resistors' in an electrical circuit so should be driven with a constant current power source (not a constant voltage). This is usually achieved using a small driver circuit for each laser diode such as the OFL144 driver board we sell.
