Transcription Unit (see picture #1): The Lanier Voice Write EX LX-219-1 is a digital enhanced transcription station. The LCD displays information such as date, time and length of each job/dictation, as well as STAT/priority status, with options to skip, suspend or self-assign jobs/dictations to access a specific author/dictator.
Telephone Interface (see picture #5): The LX-547 VTI is a telephone interface that works with the Lanier Voice Write EX LX-219-1 transcription station that allows you to access audio dictation files remotely from your home or office via LAN line (a $250.00 value) and will work with Lanier LX-219 and LX-218 transcription units.
The transcription unit will come completely assembled - all cords/cables are properly connected to the unit (see picture #7 & 8). Just place the transcription unit on your desk, place foot pedal on floor (see picture #9) plug in the black Lanier power supply (marked "#1" in picture 9) into your electrical outlet, then plug in the grey telephone cord into your LAN line wall jack (marked "#2" in picture 9) and your system is COMPLETELY set up and ready to use - That's it! If the unit is disconnected and disassembled, cords are marked for easy reconnection to the back of the Lanier transcription station as "trans station" and "UDLT" (see picture #10).

THIS UNIT OPERATES BEST PLUGGED DIRECTLY INTO WALL JACK AND DOES NOT WORK WELL OR AT ALL WITH VOIP PROVIDERS, MAGIC JACK OR VONAGE THAT REQUIRES PLUGGING THE TRANSCRIPTION UNIT DIRECTLY INTO A ROUTER
