The new Omni 3730 and Omni 3730LE terminals are entry-level models in the Verix-based Omni 3700 family that are optimized for merchant settings that require traditional dial-up communications and fewer applications than the popular Omni 3740 and Omni 3750 models.
VeriFone is extending the Verix based Omni 3700 family to answer the needs of the market niche that has traditionally relied on simpler products from Hypercom (NYSE: HYC), Lipman (NASDAQ: LPMA), or the refurbished market of older VeriFone solutions, according to Paul Rasori, VeriFone s vice president of North America marketing.
