Noyes M650 compact quad otdr
1310/1550 SM (22dB)+ 850/1300 MM (26dB)
This is the newest Noyes OTDR for the next generation. If you have been searching for this unit, you know it has such high demand that it is difficult to find. Light on weight and heavy on performance makes the M650 an OTDR of choice for years to come.

The Noyes M650 from AFL Telecommunications is a compact, full-featured, QUAD OTDR with an integrated Visual Fault Locator (VFL, 650 nm), Optical Power Meter (OPM), and a large transflective touch screen display suitable for both indoor and outdoor operation. With short dead zone and intermediate range specifications, the M650 is ideal for Tier 2 testing of premises (building and campus) networks.
The M650 OTDR supports Full Auto, Expert (manual), and Real-Time test modes, precision event analysis, dual-wavelength testing, rich file naming, and an intuitive job setup functionality. In addition to OTDR event analysis, pass/fail acceptance values can be set to alert the test operator of failing or marginal events. Using one of the Least Squares Approximation (LSA) loss methods, events may be added or deleted manually.
Thousands of test results may be stored internally for transfer to a computer via a USB cable or a standard USB drive. Once test data is transferred to a computer, the supplied Windows compatible software allows technicians to view, print, and generate professional reports. Saved OPM loss values for a cable in one or two directions can be displayed in a table on the M650 OTDR for evaluation and comparison.

TEST MODES: OTDR, Auto Test, OLS and OPM
The recommended mode for users who are not familiar with OTDR operation. In the Full Auto OTDR mode, OTDR parameters such as Range, Pulse Width, and Averaging Time are set automatically. In addition, Full Auto OTDR tests always include an Event Table and Summary Page.
In Full Auto OTDR, Pass/Fail default settings may be changed.
Real-Time OTDR mode is the best for real-time troubleshooting. Note that the Wavelength setting can only be set to individual wavelengths. The Range, Pulse Width, and Filter parameters are set by the user.
Expert OTDR mode is available for experienced users. It provides the most set up flexibility. You can set Range, Pulse Width, and Averaging Time manually (Setup = Manual) or automatically (Setup = Auto Once and Setup = Auto). And you can either enable the event table (Events = Auto) or disable the event table (Events = Off).
Note: in the Expert OTDR mode, the Events Menu contains Event Thresholds and Pass / Fail Thresholds settings.
Used to perform Optical Power Meter measurements.
UTILITY MODES: RESULTS, SETTINGS, JOB, LAST RESULTS
