This listing is for a VERY rare Military RR-6 Receiver and RT-6 Transmitter U-2 Radio Set.
I got two in the lot, this the second and last one I have.
This was a small emergency radio made for U-2 pilots.
It operates from 3.0 to 16.5 Mc in two bands. It operates AM and CW.
It uses the sub-miniature tubes that were developed in the late 1950's as radiation hardened and durable electronic devices.
I have never seen one of these before.
You get what you see in the photo. The RR-6 Receiver, the RT-6 Transmitter and one carrying pack.
Cosmetically, these are not as nice as the last set but still presentable.
I just discovered that I have a full manual for this pair, called the RS-6, which is the pair.
This manual has diagrams etc. that will be helpful in understanding this radio set.
While it's sort of crusty, I will scan it and include the scanned copy with this sale.
The scan will hopefully be a little more presentable than is the original.
