If you re just getting started with Waste Vegetable Oil you ll soon find out how fast the 200 micron plugs up. If you go too fine too quick it keeps clogging. You keep removing it, scrape it, and start again. This can slow things down. I keep 600 strainers on my collection drums. If the drum has been sitting I can pump a majority right off the top into a 50m bag fairly easily. It s working with what s left that s time consuming.
I dedicate one day week gathering my oil, so I strain it with 200 if I transfer it. I normally swap the collection drums. when I get the oil home I heat it with a band heater if cold and strain it through a 100 micron (100 micron & lower tends to drain very slow when oil is cold) to the dewater drum. Boil any water out, and a 50 micron, and a 25 micron filter bag and then a 5 micron before I send it to the Processor. At least I can go through a few drums before cleaning. Now you can start your process. (It kind of makes my pray for a Centrifuge)
