Here is a great plan showing how to build a very low cost cabin.The description says it cost $200 but that was years ago so don't expect to build it for that today.Nevertheless the construction and materials used will make this the lowest cost cabin you could possibly build.
The cabin size is a very compact 12' by 12'. however it is surprisingly roomy and can sleep the whole family very well. It is easy to add more space at a later date as money permits of course so this need only be the beginning of a much bigger cabin if you so desire..
