Altera cyclone fpga development board with usb blaster
Are you a hardware engineer looking for upgrading your knowledge and skills in this tough job market? Are you an college EE student looing to tackle that senior project? Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is an advanced and powerful technology. But due to the high-cost of development boards and tools, few people have a chance to learn and use this amazingly powerful technology.
Look no further. This complete and low-cost kit has everything you need to learn and experiment with FPGA! You can even develop new product prototypes with the kit. It contains an Altera Cyclone II FPGA board, an USB blaster download module, dot matrix display, documentation with 18 experiments (source code included) from basic to advanced to guide you learn this technology!
The FPGA board has the following resources:
Altera Cyclone II EP2C5T144 (4608 Logical Elements, 26 RAM Blocks, 13 Embedded Multipliers and 2 PLLs)
EPCS1 FPGA configuration chip
50Mhz active oscillator for fast speed
4 user buttons and a reset button
Both dot-matrix display and graphics display connectors
PS/2 keyboard connector for keyboard experiments
24C01 memory chip for I2C experiments
UART connector for serial communication experiments
JTAG and AS connectors for program download and debug
All unused I/O pins of the FPGA are led out by pin connectors (60 in total)
List of experiments (source codes are included!!!)
4. Bell (using buttons to control buzzer sound)
5. Key-8LED (using buttons to LED)
Kit contents (one for each of the following):
USB Blaster Module with cable
1602 2-Line Dot-Matrix Display
Documentation CD (user manual for the board, installation guide for the USB blaster and source code for all the experiments)
The preferred development environment is Altera Quatus II which can be downloaded from the Altera s web site. Altera provides full-feature 30-day trial for the software.
