This hardback book (and the others from this same series, also currently running) are a must have for any engineer...titled; "DESIGN OF DAMS - IRRIGATION" / By W.A. HARDENBERG / INTERNATIONAL TEXTBOOK COMPANY / Copyright 1933 / {346c} ~~//~~ Clearly written and Fully illustrated this book is in near mint condition. Seemingly never even fully opened! The pages are clear and supple! Tightly bound inside of gold embossed over midnight blue (thin) leather covers. 57 + Sharply drawn diagrams, photo figures, a fold-out and line cuts FILL this book. Depicting all sorts of water structures including; field irrigation, flume building, canal drops, pipe trusses, fish ladders, steel gates, buttress details, dam landscapes +++. Slight spine edge wear and a few faint dirt spots are the only flaws to the outside of this 77-year-old original. Mild page yellowing (a little heavier in the intro-index) is the lone thing keeping the interior of this 5" by 7 3/4" beauty from perfection. That s it! Its 177 blue edged, heavy rag leaves have no brittleness rips tears foxing waving wrinkles dogears underlines odor marks of any kind or even a fingeredge smudge.
