John Deere Introduces 200 Series Skid Steers
John Deere introduces a new line of skid steers with a first-of-its-kind vertical-lift system for more precise loading and dumping. The first skid steer line exclusively designed and manufactured by John Deere, the 200 Series can tackle a multitude of farm jobs. The John Deere 240 and 250 feature a patent-pending vertical-lift system. Unlike the radial-lift systems found on most conventional skid steers, the boom arms on the 200 Series rise along a stable, vertical path. Fully raised, the arrns stretch much farther forward than on other skid steers, enabling the operator to easily place a load in the center of a truck bed or spreader.
The 200 Series Skid Steers have a 45-degree dump angle that makes it easy to shed wet or sticky material. A 35-degree bucket rollback and increased machine operating capacity improve load-carrying efficiency. A 42.3-inch-wheelbase design smoothes out rough terrain, increasing operator comfort and productivity. A sloped rear deck provides 360-degree visibility for more-efficient operation in confined spaces. The skid steers' Quick-Lift cab and removable side panels allow easy access to engine components for faster servicing and reduced downtime.
