With four independently controlled sample blocks and the ability to run up to 1536 reactions simultaneously, the Tetrad is the highest performing, most versatile thermal cycler available.
Fully compatible with the DNA Engine system, the Tetrad uses
the same swappable Alpha sample-block/heat-pump modules, so
it delivers identical thermal and operational performance
Up to eight independent blocks (i.e. four dual Alphas) in a
compact footprint: 37 x 55 x 25cm high. The four Alpha
modules run independently; any block can execute any program
in the instrument s memory. Eight bi-color LEDs show the status
MJ-designed and -manufactured Peltier-Joule heat pumps utilise
50 milliseconds, and deliver a thermal range of -5 C to 105 C,
with ramp rates up to 3.0 C/second
Large memory & amiable software with 80-character LCD
display, and a 400-program capacity
Networking capability lets a desktop computer control up to
fifteen cyclers remotely.Thermal data from any block on the
network can be downloaded continuously for viewing graphs in
real time or storing data in files. A full set of remote commands
allows users to customize software
IEEE-488, RS-232 & parallel printer ports allow communication
with a wide variety of digital devices
