CARTER-HOFFMAN MODEL PHB-495A AIR SCREEN REFRIGERATOR WITH DIGITAL TEMPERATURE DISPLAY. IT IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER. We disassembled this refrigerator, cleaned it inside and out, installed a new door gasket and then ran it and tested its performance. It works like a charm. All the stainless steel, as can be seen in the images, is in great condition.
From a room temperature of 70 degrees F it will get down to 33 degrees F in less than one hour. It runs smoothly and the operating temperature can be regulated by adjusting the internal thermostat. It operates on standard 110V/60Hz power.
The design of air-screen refrigerators allow them to be operated with the door open while maintaining the assigned temperature much more constant than conventional refrigerators.
