Wol-Ceram ELC-2020 Electro Layering Ceramic Dental CAD/CAM System
Wol-Ceram is a computer aided system that produces ceramic substructures needed to fabricate all ceramic crowns and bridges. The material used for the substructures is Vita in-Ceram with proven success for over 14 years.
The method with which the coping material is applied to the die is what's different and revolutionary about Wol-Ceram. Using a unique process called EPC (electrophoretic ceramic procedure); Vita In-Ceram material is applied in a dense and consistent thickness to the master die. This technology allows for a precise fit, excellent translucency and aesthetics.
* Precise Fit From Original Die
* WOL-CERAM ELC and CAD/CAM capable
* All the benefits and strength of electroplating
* Capable of creating Copings, Bridges
* Implant Abutments, Implant Bridge Frameworks
* Runs 5 units in sequence with no user intervention
The Wol-Ceram ELC (Electro Layering Ceramic) system is a state of the art Electro-layering and CAD/CAM system designed to work with Vita In-Ceram materials that increases accuracy and strength while significantly reducing turn around time. Copings, bridges, implant abutments and implant frames are possible. Because the system works off the original die, it is able to produce an extremely accurate fit and the most precise margins of any CAD/CAM dental system available. Because all work is done in house, turnaround time is drastically reduced. Best of all, the system works on any margin prep so your dentist does not have to change anything to utilize it.
Wol-Ceram Electro-Layered Ceramic Process:
The special advantage of this procedure lies in the extremely accurate Wol-Ceram coping. The original die is dipped in aluminum oxide, spinell, or zirconia and it's coated by the ELC (Electro Layering Ceramic) process. Thus creating an extremely precise internal and marginal fit - in essence, The perfect-Fit.
The require coping thickness is entered into the computer and the ELC/CAM program runs the fully automatic production sequence. This manufacturing process is many times faster and results in substantial cost and material savings.
For the dentist, this results in a new, patented and improved restoration technique, providing the possibility to make a different thickness cementation gap which is thinner on the occlusion than on the sides. The occlusal pressure is thus absorbed by the occlusal contact. With this system, the possibility for fractures is vastly minimized.
This fully automated CAD/CAM system consists of an integrated scanning/milling unit and computer design software. The system uses the Electro Layering Ceramic process (ELC), working along with laser technology in order to scan the original die, generating dimensional data that is processed and viewed in 3-D on the computer screen. The die is electro statically charged and lowered into an In-Ceram Alumina, Spinell, or Zirconia slick that is charged in opposite polarity, creating an attraction between the material and the die. The coping formed by the ELC coating is milled back to the preset thickness established by the 3-D data, and the finished coping is then sintered. The system is capable of producing up to 10 copings per hour.
