Feed is controlled by a worm screw and cast-iron reduction gearbox running in oil to reduce wear.
Precision-machined steel cutter head mounted on 2 sealed, permanently lubricated ballbearings. Solid, corrugated, cutter head driven in-feed roller & smooth out-feed roller. Helical springs and setscrews in the upper section assure that the correct tension is applied to the rollers. Adjustable pressure bar produces the necessary tension behind the cutter head for accurate work. Cast-iron chip breaker controls the feed by adjusting pressure as needed.
Precision-machined and polished, high quality, heavy-duty ribbed cast-iron frame.
Precision-machined, ribbed cast-iron table moves along 4 machined guide ways; adjustable gibs ensure the table stays parallel to the cutter head and compensates for wear.
Large hand wheel easily raises and lowers the table.
Graduated scale indicates depth of cut ranging from 1/16" to 6" (1.6 to 154.4 mm).
Magnetic switch with overload protection for added safety.
