This sale is for a group of items that I know nothing about. I purchased this at a moving sale from a retired Policeman that was moving and selling items he no longer needed. He told me he had been on the Police force for 30 years and had recently retired.
I recognized the Gun name, Glock, on the back of the holster as a friend of my daughter had bought one several years ago. That is the extent of my knowledge of the pieces that I am selling, but I will describe what I see.
The grouping of 3 pieces are all leather, a couple may have a metal frame, as they feel a little too stiff for just leather. The pieces include:
1. A holster. This piece has the most markings and has a logo looks like a shield, with the words "Safariland" in the shield. Looks like there is some kind of an animal underneath the name, see picts. There are several numbers that I hope will help collectors identify the age of this piece, letters/numbers are
2. A leather 2 section compartment that would fit onto the belt, believed to hold ammunition, see picts. The back of this piece reads, "G 17 Safety Speed Holster Montebello, Cal.".
3. Finally there is the belt that these pieces would attach to. The belt shows the most wear, see picts. The end of the belt also reads, "Safety Speed Holster Montebello, Cal." marked with a belt size of "36". The actual belt is approx. 46 3/4 inches long, measured one end to the other.
I am told that my descriptions are too wordy, and that I describe minimal damage that should be expected in vintage/antique items. They are probably right, as this is an old item and shows it's age. Please check the pictures though and make sure that I did not miss any flaws that you might notice.
