The recorder have linear and circular recording modes. In the linear mode, the amount and longevity of recordings are limited by free memory space only . The circular mode is non stop recording: when memory space in recorder is over, the recorder will continuously record and write instead of the oldest recordings. So, when you stop recorder, only most new records will be in the memory!

To protect information, a parole system is available in the recorder. So an unauthorized user can't get access to the recorder's content and settings. Every recording has a special mark with the date and time of the recording. The recording also has a watermark which helps to detect any changes that were made to the recording and which recorder made this recording.
Recording can be automatic (without user's help.) Recorder has two timers: Daily Timer (it sets the time of the beginning and ending of recording) and Once Timer (it sets the date and time of the beginning and ending of recording).

The Recorder has a Voice Activating System (VAS) which effectively compresses pauses in messages, therefore increasing the actual record time. Using this system saves memory during pauses. Recorder is checking, if the audio signal is higher than a previously set level or not (silence) according to set criteria. If there is not audio signal, recording is stoping. If the signal appears, recording is starting. Period of autonomic work with Voice Activation System is more longer.When downloading records to PC, the pause length can be either restored (as silence) or passed depending on the settings made.
The recorder can work as a Flash drive that allows to save and download/upload any data. It is possible to use the recorder for recording and as a Flash drive simultaneously. The amount of memory that is for the Flash drive can be set in the recorder's settings.

Recorder can be connected to PC via USB port with the supplied cable. The supplied software, working under Windows 2000/XP/32-bit Vista OS, makes it possible. There is an opportunity to update firmware using the software.

The recorder control is very simple. It is a one button control (start/stop recording) or a switch depending on the model. Light emitting diodes indicate the work modes of the recorder.
