Rc race track business for sale
It s a miniature race track with remote controlled cars! People race and crash the cars, and have a blast doing it!
Its tons of fun! Caution, it may be extremely addictive!
These cars are not on slots, which means you can steer them into the wall or into each other. These cars are specially built, and almost indestructible.
Just set it up where people gather to have fun, and start taking in money from the start! You can charge one price to rent it, or you can collect money from individual racers.
Will people actually pay money to race the cars?
I ve never seen this before. Is this a niche market?
You bet it is! There s not a whole lot of competition out there, possibly none at all in your area. Have you tried other businesses before? Tired of seeing 30 or 40 competitors in your market doing the same thing? You won t find that here!
Anywhere people gather to have fun!
Here s a list of just some of the events you can work: trade shows, conventions, product promotions, team building, gala banquets, corporate hospitality, grand openings, shopping malls, company picnics, alumni events, private clubs, on-campus events, universities, church functions, bar mitzvahs, birthday parties, car shows, bachelor parties, bar tournaments, golf guest days, fairs, festivals you get the idea . just about anywhere!
Where do I find events to work?
You can start by contacting companies in your area. Many of them hold events, and are looking for something new and exciting to do.
The easiest place to find events is on the internet. Almost every event nowadays has a website with contact information, vendor information, applications, etc.
Its simple to get into most events Just call your local festival or county fair organizer. Ask them if they d like a Nascar themed activity for their next event, that will help make their event unique and memorable.
My name is Tom Roth, and my wife and I saw a track similar to this one in May of 1999. We saw that the couple working it were doing quite well. They were busy most of the day. I spent $3.00 and played, and I was hooked.
Shortly thereafter we saw a used track advertised in the classifieds, and purchased it. Our first event was a monster truck show. We set it up, and were busy for the entire show!
We immediately started booking it at every event we could find. . In fact, we started working it full time from the start.
We now have a track mounted on a trailer, and we work an established route in the summer and early fall.
1. Can I put together the track, and lift 65 pounds? This is how much the heaviest piece weighs. All the other pieces are alot lighter.
2. Can I pick up the phone and call event planners, event organizers, companies with 20 or more employees, fair and festival organizers, carnival operators, etc? We ll help you find events in your area, or lists of companies in your area
3. Can I ask them if they d like to book a Nascar themed activity that is new and exciting, and that kids and adults will love to play?
4.. Can I collect money, and make change?
5. Can I learn how to make basic car repairs? Remember, your main job will be to change parts as needed, like tires, gears, etc. You won t need to learn anything more complex than that. You ll also be getting a crash course on maintenance once you purchase the track.
If you answered yes to these questions, than you re well on your way to success!
These cars are specially built to withstand most of the abuse they endure. They are not ordinary, high speed radio controlled cars. They are built more like tanks. Aluminum is used in many places rather than plastic. There s plenty of padding underneath the car.
I can t answer that for you. It would be unethical for me to suggest an amount. I can tell you that I ve been working a track similar to this one for eleven years, and we earned a full time income during most of that time. Recently, we ve ventured into other areas, but we still work the track full time in the summer and early fall.
With 5 cars, at $3.00 per race, you can earn $15.00 per race. If you can run 20 races per hour, that s a potential of $300 per hour. Will you average that every hour? No. Will you average half of that? No. But imagine if you could generate just 10% or 20% of that figure?
I just got done working the Athens Art Festival, in Athens, PA May 1st and 2nd, 2010. (look it up on the internet). I paid $250 to set up. My wife and I worked from 10 am to 5 pm Saturday, and 10 am to 4 pm Sunday. We took in $1412.00 during that time. We cleared almost $100 per hour for each hour we worked. Can you do this? I don t see why not.
There's other events I've been doing for 8 - 10 years that generate several times more than that. In fact, our very best show has generated over $150,000 in revenue combined over the past 11 years.
Do I have to work it full time?
Of course not! You decide how many weekdays or weekends to work it. You won t make any less per event just because you re only working it part time. When I first started, I worked from January thru November. Now I work from June to early October.
It can be! It depends on how you want to work it. Fairs and festivals are all cash, while corporate events, birthday parties, etc are typically paid by check.
