MFJ 8310 - BASE SCANNER RECEIVES

This is a new in the box MFJ 8310
This new MFJ MFJ-8310 scanner monitors your favorite 2 Meter, 70cm and even 10 Meter and 6 Meter repeaters plus repeater inputs and local simplex frequencies, NOAAWeather broadcasts, Weather Alerts, Skywarn trained severe weather observers, both VHF and UHF business bands, Commercial Aircraft, the Marine band, FRS/GMRS frequencies and more.
During severe weather, the MFJ-8310 one-touch weather button takes the place of that expensive single purpose weather radio. Another one-touch button monitors Skywarn trained weather observers (requires one-time programming), hear reports minutes before they are forwarded to NOAA, radio and TV stations for rebroadcast and a couple of minutes earlier can be important during severe weather!
The MFJ-8310 even decodes digital "SAME" codes: enter your county FIPS code and the MFJ-8310 will only alert when severe weather is for your county.
Weather receivers without this feature can awaken you anytime NOAA sends an alert even if severe weather never threatens near your home.
200-Memory channels and 40 channel-per-second scanning rate means you can monitor much more, a scanner will get to the active frequency much faster than an HT!
A 2-second delay feature holds on the active frequency so you hear both sides of the conversation, even when monitoring simplex communications. Search 5 preprogrammed services (Marine, Ham, older Police/Fire frequencies used in some rural areas, Commercial Aircraft, and NOAA Weather) by band plan, or select any range of frequencies to search at a super-fast 80 step/sec rate to find new frequencies!
Lock-out and lock-out-review lets you temporarily lock out an undesired frequency. Patented "Zeromatic" tuning meters the discriminator voltage and adjusts for best signal clarity. Set your favorite repeater frequency as "Priority" and the MFJ-8310 will switch there whenever it goes active - never miss a transmission.
BNC antenna connection, so it's already compatible with your ham shack.
Generous backlit LCD and 3" speaker. Front panel on/off switch with separate volume and squelch controls, 3.5mm headset jack for private listening. Includes pull-up BNC antenna and 120VAC to 9VDC adapter.
Measures a compact 8 1/4W x 6 7/8 x 2 3/8 inches and weighs just 24.3 ounces.
