Von duprin 6211 24VDC electric strike lock fail secure
-Fail Secure (Electrically unlocked)
24VDC Fail Secure Electric strike for Mortise locks without deadbolts or cylindrical locks on single door applications with hollow metal jambs using ANSI frame prep.
Developed with Von Duprin's high standards & engineering expertise, this electric strike is manufactured with heavy-duty stainless steel, has been tested to over 250,000 cycles, has a 1500 pound holding force and a 70 pound impact strength.
Electric strikes allow remote release of a locked door and allow the door to be opened without retracting the latchbolt. This occurs by releasing the strike's keeper, or lip. When the door is pushed or pulled, the latch moves the keeper then a spring pulls it back. When the door closes, the latchbolt, having a spring itself, retracts when it touches the keeper to allow the door to fully shut, then extends into the strike, relocking the door.
The Von Duprin 6000 series strikes have a number of features:
* UL Listed Burglary-Resistant
* Available in 12VDC or 24VDC models
* Adjustable strike box allows for alignment compensation
* 2 piece plug connectors are included for ease of installation
* Solenoid operates at 0.6 amps at 12 or 24 volts
The face of the 6211 is 4-7/8"H x 1-1/4"W. The solenoid extends down from the strike 1-3/8" (or up if handing is reversed) and requires approximately 1-15/32" clearance inside the jamb cavity with a 12" high clearance.
