Altec digger derrick crane stand up type control panel
This is a stand up type control panel for operating an Altec digger derrick. It is in good working condition. I removed it from a 1990 digger unit and was able to test all the functions before I unplugged it and it all worked fine.
It has 6 main control levers. They do the following:
3. Extend and retract second stage
4. Extend and retract third stage
6. Digger rotate to dig and the other way to clean out
There are 7 electric toggle switches. They do the following:
1. Switch controls between lower (these panels) and upper controls (end of boom)
There is also a starter type switch to turn the truck engine on and off.
It attaches to the digger unit with a standard Altec screw on multi-pin plug in. There are also a couple of hydraulic pressure gauges that attach to the digger derrick base with hydraulic lines.
The base of the unit was welded to the back of the truck bed. The operator then stood on a flip down steel treadplate platform while operating the controls. This is a nice type of control panel especially for remounted booms as you can attach it anywhere you need to on a truck.
It is in good condition and ready to be used.
