The item is a miniature electric motor fitted with integrated gearbox, which are ideally suited for use in remote control models.
These units are professionally manufactured to very high standards you would expect from German motors and Swiss gearbox.

I originally bought these motors for an engineering project I was working on and they have been used for prototype testing. They are fitted with wire because one of the motor connection lugs has been damaged.
