Emergency Call Intercom System
The NEM-EM system provides routine and emergency
calling and communication from rooms and bathrooms
to a master station. A call from a standard room station
rings with a steady LED light and an intermittent tone.
An emergency call from a bathroom pull cord activates
a flashing LED light and buzzer tone. A standard call
can be reset at the master station, and an emergency
call is reset at the bathroom pull cord location.
System can be expanded to 80 stations. Master
stations are available in 10, 20, 30, and 40 station
sizes, with or without a handset. Add-on selectors are
available in 20 and 40 station sizes. A second master
can be used to answer calls from certain rooms. After
hours, those calls can be transferred to a main master
station with the night switcher.
Power Source: PS-24E for 10 station master, and for 20 or 40 station add-on selector
PS-45E for 20, 30, 40 station master
Current Consumption: Maximum 45W
Power Output: 500mW per channel for intercom; 6W per 20 stations for All Call/Background Music
Standard Calling: Pressing call button activates tone and LED at master, remaining until answered
Emergency Calling: Bath cord activates emergency buzzer, remaining until cord is reset
Communication: Press-to-talk, release-to-listen at master, or voice actuated handset (NEM-nAEM only)
Talk Channel: Single talk channel
Wiring: 1 common wire plus 2 individual wires per sub station looped, or
3 wires homerun from each sub station.
Shielded cable is recommended. Use Aiphone #822203 (22AWG) or
#821803 (18AWG) 3-conductor wire.
