Vintage heathkit vacuum tube voltmeter model v-7A
VINTAGE HEATHKIT VACUUM TUBE VOLTMETER MODEL V-7A
This Heathkit voltmeter measures about 8" high x 5" wide. It shows some signs of use and has some scuffs and scratches. There are a few spots where the paint has chipped off and there is a little surface rust. The plastic meter cover is cracked across the front and is taped around the edges. The lead wires are cracked badly and the clip on the red one is rusted. I opened up the back and there are some signs of minor water damage. The battery spring is very corroded. I replaced the old battery and plugged the unit in. It powered up and the two tubes inside lit up as did the light on the meter face. The needle moves when the unit is turned on but I could not zero the needle or get the unit to test anything. Overall this vintage Heathkit voltmeter is in fair to good (needs a little tlc) condition.
