Has your furnace or central air quit working? Wont blow the air due to the motor not coming on?
If whatever type of system you may have has stopped running and the motor seems to have suddenly failed and no longer wants to come on, chances are after some extensive troubleshooting and diagnostic testing you end up determining that the motors control module has apparently gone bad and therefore will need to be replaced. Hoping that will fix the problem. If the motor in your unit, that is now failing to come on, is a GE ECM 2.0, 2.3 or 2.5 Variable speed control module type varying a wide range of specs.
HP:1/2, AMPS:4.3 RPM:1050, HERTZ:60, VOLTAGE:120/240, PHASE:1, ROTATION:COUNTERCLOCK WISE
HP:3/4, AMPS:6.8, VOLTAGE:200/230, ROTATION:CW
HP:1, AMPS:7.0, VOLTAGE:200/230, ROTATION:CCW
HP:1/2, AMPS:4.3, VOLTAGE:200/230, ROTATION:CCW and so on.
The information obtained here covers most specs regardless of application for the GE ECM programmable motor module.
It could have a different name or sticker but if it is OEM GE variable speed ECM programmable motor then the failure is more than likely in the motor module.
