Titanium tube tubes tubing 6MM (1/4") od 3 x 28" length
For sale are three 71.5 centimeter (28 inch) pieces of titanium tubing with 6 millimeter (0.24 inch or about 1/4 inch) outer diameter and 0.4 millimeter (0.016 inch, 1/64th of an inch) wall thickness. This is Russian aerospace surplus titanium, fairly soft and can be bent or machined pretty much like low carbon steel. Probably used for fuel or gas lines. X-ray fluorescence analysis indicates 99+% Titanium content, the only other detectable component is Aluminum (0.5-1.0%). The GOST specification is VT1-0, which corresponds to ASTM Grade 2. This is perfect for corrosion resistance in weather, saltwater, engine exaust or chemical equipment. No hazardous chemicals or metals will leach out of it.
The weight of this material is about 38 grams per meter (12 grams per foot).
