This variety of bluestem,WW B Dahl, is an excellent choice for forage or for hay. It has been our top producer for many years. This variety was developed several years ago. On our ranch it has yeilds of over 6 tons per acre for several years. It is very drought tolerant, once it is established. WW B Dahl is a bunch grass that is almost entirely leaves. Recommended seeding rate is 2 to 4 lbs per acre. The price per lb is $12 of pure live seed.Conventional whirlwind seeders are recommended for the best results.We also have this in 50 lb bags upon request.
