The model 5110 is a general purpose type of instrument used as an inc-circuit or out-of-circuit semiconductor tester. The 5110 provides a simple, sure and inexpensive way to detect defective semiconductors. It will effectively determine "Good" or "Bad" components. The unit has test sockets for TO-3, TO-5 and TO-66 type of semiconductors. Jacks are provided for testing other types of semiconductors. The 5110 uses a high current (adjustable), low duty-cycle pulse technique to test transistors. This technique is similar to manufacturer techniques used to verify semiconductor parameters. The 5110 does not act like a simple "ohmmeter" type of tester.
An electronic switching circuit is used to enable the user to identify the terminals (collector, base, emitter) of the device under test (DUT) in most in-circuit and out-of-circuit tests. Terminals are clearly identified with a large readout display.
Circuitry is also provided for out-of-circuit measurement of transistor Beta, FET gm (transconductance) and the testing of high current devices (up to 2 amps) without over-dissipation and leakage.

We are also including a soft-sided case (pictured in background). The case is in good condition, has internal pouches to hold test leads, manuals, etc and was specifically designed for the 5110.
This unit is fully REFURBISHED in our facility. We also calibrated the unit with our ISO certified in-house equipment and have affixed a calibration label. The case is clean and in excellent condition. All switches operate smoothly, all display segments are bright and clear. This unit is in excellent condition.

30-day Warranty is limited to parts and labor to repair the unit. We do not cover obvious misuse of the unit or exceeding manufacturer's operational guidelines. Warranty is null and void if warranty seals or calibration labels are removed.
