Minneapolis moline 445 pavement roller, rare r z u g
This is a rare Minneapolis Moline 445 powered roller. The tractor on top of the unit is power package #31 serial number 15100122, the roller undercarriage is a Roll-Master made by Flaherty Mfg Inc in Pocatello, ID, serial number 1A-109. The engine is a 206H-4, serial number 10007825, the sheet metal is the same as a 445 wheel tractor, transmission has gears but has a torque convertor for easy forward/reverse travel, and the rear end is also from a tractor. In fact, if one were so inclined, the unit could be removed from the roller and had wheels installed to form a tractor. Engine turns over but does not run. The sheet metal is decent, but not totally straight. It will also need a hydraulic hose, a battery, and the steering arm on the roller chassis welded back on as it has broken away from the pivot at the welds. It shouldn't take much to get this machine up and running. Roller chassis fills with water to weigh it down. It is currently empty and likely weighs 6000-7000lbs. It's about 6ft wide and 10ft long, which means it can be hauled behind a pickup with a small trailer. It's got 9 tires that are in decent shape. A VERY RARE unit with a 445 power unit that will turn heads at shows or at work.
