46 GHz Frequency Counter & Power Meter
Like Agilent 53152A On Steroids
Pendulum Instruments / XL Microwave has become the predominant manufacturer of frequency counters. They have manufactured counters for Fluke and Agilent. The XL Microwave 3460A is Pendulum Instruments' answer to the Agilent 53152A. Besides a 46 GHz frequency counter it also performs as an RF power meter. Its user friendly control panel, compact size and installed battery option make it one of the most versatile instruments on the market.
This unit has option 150 installed which is a battery operation option. This unit is in exceptional condition. Its seen little if any use. When i received the counter the battery was still sealed in its box in a side pocket. I installed the battery and let it charge during testing and the battery seems great. But since it has sat for a while I don't want to guarantee its performance.
In the photos we are applying a 20 GHz @ -10 dBm Signal. The cable has about a .8 dBm insertion loss.
XL Microwave manufactures a number of CW (continuous wave) Microwave and Millimeter Wave Frequency counters (to 60 GHz, model dependent), with built-in Power Meter. These rugged light-weight instruments combine high-performance, reliability, durability, and small size. Frequency measurement extends from 10 Hz to the end of the model bandwidth and provides 0.01 Hz resolution of signals below 40 MHz. Simultaneous frequency and power measurements span 120 MHz (or 200 MHz) to the end of the model bandwidth using a single coax input no wave-guides, external mixers, or power sensors required!
