Vintage BERGER INSTRUMENTS Level Transit 1H 2517 + Case
Nice piece recovered from a local estate sale. I don't know anything about this, but I thought that it looked interesting. Lenses are clear and appears to be in great condition. The plaque on the top is marked, " Berger Instruments, Boston, MA, 1H 2517, Made in USA." The side has a sticker marked "LUX Instrument Co." On the bottom, it is marked, "Warranty 81254, Do not Remove." Case interior is nice, but the exterior has been painted and shows wear - see pics. Overal, nice clean piece. Transit is 11" long and sits about 4 1/2" high.
