Grade T9025 is a CVD Double Bridge TiCN/Al2O3 coated on a special substrate. This is an excellent general purpose grade for medium to high speed turning of a variety of steels. T9025 uses a revolutionary new coating process that allows coatings over 25% thicker than any previous technology. This dramatically improves the coating adhesion strength between the coating and substrate, and between the coating layers, while resisting peeling. Double-Bridge coatings run faster on high speed finishing to heavy rough turning. This best application for this grade is in medium to high speed turning of various medium carbon alloy steels such as 1030, 1045, 4140, and 4340. T9025 has performed well in the 400 series stainless at 300 to 550 sfm. Cutting speeds for steels varies from 300 to 800SFM, .040 to .250 Depth of Cut, .040 to .020 feed rates. The ISO classification is M20-M30, P20-P30.
