Hello! You are looking at a classic VOM from "a few years back". I've been an electrician for 30 years
and have had alot of different multmeters. I still have a passion for analogs (especially my old favorite
Simpson-260 with the accordian cover). Analogs are GREAT when it comes to watching solenoid and
switches electrically activating (fast cycle) for duration, and consistancy. The analog bars on DVM's are
nice, but there is no better sample rate then a VOM. Honestly, I only carry a Fluke and a Beckman Industrial
DVM (my sanity checker) in my toolbag when I'm on a machine or in the field. This type of meter (VOM) is a
great addition to have in any shop (or collection).
My picture taking (and camera) are from the same era this meter was made. I'm one to see 0.00-0.01 ohms
continuity (or 3-points) on any meter or I won't use it (usually leads or battery). The #1 and #2 picture show "0". It is
a blast to dial the "zero adjust" to tweak "0". All ohm ranges need to tweak to "0". Now you know what autotuning
meant on DVM's? You can 1.) use it 2.) use it as your "sanity checker" 3.) Act like an idiot to your friends when
you carry it into the shop to troubleshoot a 1/2 million dollar piece of equipment, or 4.) add it to your collection.
Look at the last picture. NO BLOWN TRACES! NO REPLACED RESISTORS! NO
RESOLDERING/MOD'S! Has fresh batteries and cleaned. Good for another 40-50 years!
this meter is in A-1 shape. Not nicked or scratched that I can see (heck, it's housed in bakelite). The leads are included,
