Maxifalls 18000 submersible water transfer pump, sump
A. - Submersible Pumps are NEVER as efficient as a comparable centrifugal "shore mounted" pumps (like our MaxiFalls 3000, 7000 and Superfalls 11,000 pumps - see our "Other Items for these) and if you're pumping needs are long term - It is Well worth the small amount of extra installation expense to use a shore mounted pump and simply run your suction piping to the water source to be pumped from.
B. Submersible Pumps NEVER last as long as a shore mounted "non-submersible type" pump. We have SEVERAL shore mount centrifugal MaxiFalls pumps running at our farm for several years in full time 24/7 Year round' service - some of them running over 10yrs now. Submersibles just never seem to hold up for the long term 24/7 type of service, although they can easily last for many years if you take care of them properly and don't let them run dry for extended periods OR leave them in a shallow pond to freeze into the ice over the winter or other kinds of neglectful "torture".
HOWEVER - we all have short term OR temporary pumping needs from time to time and for these cases a submersible pump Rocks! Why?........well, they install almost instantly (simply drop the pump into your bilge, pond, ditch, pit or Whatever water source and run your discharge hose to where you want the water to go and plug it in!!!
So, why the MaxiFalls 18000? We've found it to be about the best out there and at our prices, this doesn't have to cost you any more than what a lot of other similar pumps cost. Plus, if you're looking to pump MEGA amounts of water - Try finding an 1100 watt sump pump that moves almost 100 gallons a minute flow rate!!!
We use these pumps frequently for water transfer from pond to pond, filling truck tanks, etc. ...............Heck, these pumps completely fill our hauling truck tanks in about 6-7 minutes!
