Scaffold Ladder Step Extension Safety Painting Comfort
THIS PRODUCT IS THE ANSWER IF YOU
How does it work? The EZ-Step simply clamps over any rung on your ladder, and locks into place. Now you have a 7" non-skid platform to stand on. You won't get "crow's feet" from standing on that narrow rung. Your back will stop hurting, and you will get more done. With an increased comfort level, you will be much safer working for longer periods of time.
What is the EZ-Step made of? This item is injection molded with a very durable fiberglass impregnated nylon plastic resin. The adjustment bar and other hardware components are steel and will last forever. If you don't loose it, you will always have it. We offer a lifetime replacement warranty on this item.
Will it hold me? The EZ-Step can hold far more weight than any ladder on the market today is rated for. It has been tested up to 700 pounds, where the ladders themselves will usually begin to fail. It will hold you, and your friends, with no problem.
Why do you say it helps make me SAFE? The number one reason people have difficulties on a ladder, or fall off of a ladder, is that they get tired. Fatigued and often sore feet can be uncomfortable and can make you feel like your feet or legs have fallen asleep. Keeping yourself comfortable is important. Another important consideration is that the EZ-Steps plastic construction makes it an insullator against electricity. This may be most important if you work near electrical lines, and especially if you use an alluminum ladder.
What is the mechanism like that holds it on the ladder? The EZ-Step has an attachment plate that can be easily adjusted (with a screw driver) to allow the EZ-Step to fit snugly on every ladder. The spring closed locking pins are squeezed in order to slide the Step down and over the rung. Once in place the spring is released and the Step is locked securely into place. By again squeezing the spring lock the Step can be quickly removed from one rung and moved to another height. You can see this best in the photo below of the bottom view.
Can I put the two ladder sections together while the EZ-Step is still attached, so I can put the ladder back on the rack? Yes, the EZ-Step will not interfere with the two flights sliding together. It travels very well if left in place on the ladder.
How can I be sure the EZ-Step will fit my ladder? The adjustable plate allows the Step to fit on virtually every extension ladder made today. It fits on all modern alluminum, fiberglass and composite ladders sold today. There are some wooden ladders, and very specialized ladders that it will not fit on. If your ladder measures greater than 18.25" from the outside of one rail to the outside of the other rail, then the EZ-Step will not fit your ladder. The EZ-Step is not designed to fit on a step ladder. The step ladder normally has a wider step already, and isn't nearly as uncomfortable as the narrow rungs of an extension ladder.
Who needs to own an EZ-Step? I would love for everyone to own one, but the people who really need one are those Do-It-Yourselfers who are always up on a ladder doing something. Cleaning gutters, painting, trimming trees, hanging holiday lights, cleaning windows and all other tasks performed up on a ladder, will now be safer, more comfortable and easier to do.
Is your occupation listed below?
If your occupation, or the occupation of someone you love is listed above, YOU MUST HAVE one of our EZ-Steps. It could literally extend your carreer for many years, as many of those who work in the above industries are forced to retire early due to foot, leg and back problems. Many of those problems can be traced directly back to years spent standing on a ladder.
A special note for those workmen reading this that are very familiar with working on a ladder. You know that very often when you have a job at a 15-18' height, that you will use a 28' ladder so that when extended you will still have a double rung to stand on. You also know how heavy and troublesome it can be to move that monster around. With the EZ-Step you can pull down your 16-18' ladder and be very comfortable.
Has the EZ-Step had any press coverage, won any awards or been reviewed by an expert? Yes, yes and yes. The EZ-Step has been written up in several industry magazines. Paint and Decorating Retailer, Hardware News, Hardware Today, Handyman and several others. The EZ-Step won the award for best-in-show for the hardware show in 2000. Many home improvement experts and several product design engineers have reviewed the EZ-Step and all have given it praise, and very high marks. I get calls and E-mails almost everyday, where someone has seen one of my EZ-Steps in use on a job site or one of their co-workers has one, and they must have one for themself. It is really great to sell a product that really does solve a problem and help people out.
