Power supply xantrex (now sorensen) xfr model 7.5-140
XANTREX (now Sorensen*) XFR 7.5-140 (0 to 7.5 V and 0 to 140 A Direct Current Power Supply)
Practically new. Purchased for quick electrochemical test that demanded a high-current at low-voltage. Worked perfectly well, with GPIB interface for programming included. Can be connected to data acquisition and control equipment that run with LabView(r) and LabWindow(r).
This power supply provides low-noise, precisely regulated, variable DC output at 1050 Watts of output power with the following features:
* Output ratings: 0 to 7.5 Volts and 0 to 140 A
* AC input voltage: 85-130 VAC or 190-264 VAC, 1-phase (17A @ 120 VAC ; 8A @ 230 VAC)
* DC output connection: nickel plated copper bus bar (see pictures)
* 10 turn voltage and current potentiometers
* Constant voltage or constant current applications
* Over voltage protection (OVP)
* Zero voltage or "soft switching"
* Thermal shutdown (unit is fan cooled)
* Front panel controls and indicators
* Remote control: standard analog programming, and GPIB programming or RS-232 (included, see pictures)
* Remote monitoring of output voltage and currents
* Can be used on your bench or in a standard 19 in. rack
* No ventilation space required on top or bottom
* The power supply occupies only 1.75 in. (1 U) of vertical rack space
* Designed for continuous use in standalone or systems applications
* Typically used to power DC equipment, control magnets, or burn in components
* Dimensions: 1.7 x 19.0 x 20.0 in.
Included with the power supply:
* 6' long cable for 230 VAC connection to power unit (unit can run with 120 VAC, see above)
* CD with complete Operating Manual
* Strain relief helix-shaped plastic for AC cable
* Two (2) small front brackets for mounting on 19" rack
* Drivers for LabView and LabWindows and manuals can be found in: http:// /products/XFR/XFR_Downloads.htm
*Sorensen is a brand of Ametek, Inc.; LabView and LabWindows are brands of National Instruments Corp.
