These plans are designed for a 9 South Bend Lathe however they are easily altered to fit an Atlas/Craftsman, Logan or any other similar sized lathe simply by changing the center height of the spindle. It can be built for less than $75 with a well stocked junk box. Compare that to what used Tool Post Grinders are selling for and you will quickly see the advantage of building your own.
There are 9 pages of instructions, pictures and drawings with dimensions. This is an ideal project for someone new to machining as it is a valuable learning experience in marking out, drilling, boring and turning on the lathe. It can be built with just a drill press and lathe.
