The Firefly Alarm System is a compact, easily set up fire detection system that protects a tactical shelter and its contents from damage resulting from a fire. The system will detect the existence of a fire and activate an audible alarm that can be heard both inside and outside the shelter. The Firefly can operate from 115/230 Vac, 50/60 Hz using 5 watts maximum power during alarm conditions. In addition, the system is supplied with a 12 volt, 5 ampere-hour lithium battery pack that is capable of operation for up to one year in standby mode. At any time that an alarm occurs during battery backup operation, the system can sound its audible horn for up to eight continuous hours.
