COHERENT LASER DIODE ARRAY DONUTS ACTIVELY COOLED PUMP
Higher average power applications such as CW operation or QCW operation above a few percent duty cycle will require the laser head and pump donuts to be actively cooled.. Adding an additional outer O-ring forms a coolant ring adjacent to the active heat producing area of the pump donut. This close proximity to the thermally active area results in simple efficient cooling.
