T8 fluorescent shop light fixtures = 400 metal halide
6 Bulb High Output 6500K Daylight T8- Linear Hi-bay Fluorescent Commercial/Industrial Light with Mirror-Like Reflectors and bulbs
Our Nation's Most Popular Light!
By wide margins, this is the lighting industry's most prolific light fixture. It uses half the energy of a regular 400 watt metal halide fixture. Consequently thousands and thousands of ordinary metal halide fixtures have disappeared from the buildings of corporate America.
Now you can get this great technology at perhaps the lowest price on the net.
T8/HO fluorescents offer 11% more design* lumens of light per watt than pulse start metal halide, 70% more than regular metal halide, and 8% more than T5/HO fluorescents.
You can find this item in our store at this title:
T8 FLUORESCENT SHOP LIGHT FIXTURES = 400 metal halide
Includes 6 x 4' T8 High Output Tubes 4' Long
It's Used to replace to 400 w Standard Metal Halide Fixtures
Electronic High Output Ballasts Deliver 36% more Light per Tube Includes High Lumen Output Medium Bi-Pin Base Bulbs
Top Quality Construction: This fixture features rotary locking sockets, Electronic Ballasts, and a sturdy steel body with a tough powder coating. It has plentiful knockouts for conduit and a hand hole. Provision is made for chain hangers too.
It uses 228 Less Watts! That s a $410 energy savings per fixture over the life of a set of T8 bulbs. (Assumes e=$.1/Kwhr and 18Khr bulb life) Most often these are used to replace standard metal halide fixtures. The output of the bulbs is actually a little less, but due to the Perkinje effect, use of daylight tubes will make the fixture look brighter. Under the lower light levels found indoors, the brain uses both the rods and the cones of the eye. And the rods are much more sensitive to the higher energy blue wavelengths found in daylight.
Use Natural full spectrum lighting instead. At 6500K, our T8 bulbs are the brightest around! They generate crisp white light that makes standard 4100K or even 5000K bulbs look yellow!
