THIS WAS PULLED RECENTLY FROM A HOUSE AND IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER -
There is holes in the enclosure already from where the previous wiring was piped in, they can be re-used obviously, or if you plan on tapping some new holes I would suggest sealing them up so the inside of the enclosure stays clean and debris free.
You are probably asking, what is that light switch for on the left hand side? Well, we used this as a silencer for a piezo noise maker that we had mounted to the ATS, which was connected to the common fault wire outside in the generator, so if there ever was a problem with the generator, this little noise maker would go off (similar to a smoke alarm sound) letting the homeowner know that the generator was in need of service - the homeowner could then flip this switch to "mute" the noise until our service tech arrived to fix the problem. We just left the box on there, you can always take it off if you don't need it...
